Kazuto, the creator, is taking in all the info that we provide to improve the randomizer for the next version release.See also: Item Randomizer for general info. Not entirely sure what hardlock you could have run into, or if you mean you found a seed with no path forward. In terms of softlocks, they're unfortunately going to exist. The advantage is we're actively able to determine now what is possible and what should be placed on higher difficulty settings. There was a seed that I ended up solving that had bombs under BOX, the BOX room is broken and is being worked on, where to get there and out to finish the seed you needed to go through lower sector 4 with diffusion and freeze a kago before it extended and get to sector 6 to acquire spacejump before going back the way you came. We're actively dissecting certain seeds and seeing if certain seeds people are claiming are impossible are in fact impossible. Most of the discussion is happening in the Fusion speedrunning discord. Kazuto is hoping to have a UI for it soon and implement more tricks for tougher difficulties as well as ironing out a few things with potential item locations. It's still pretty bare bones and uses the command line to produce the seeds. Watch the first 5 minutes of the video below to get an idea as to how it works and operates. Biggest shoutouts go to Kazuto for making this possible after creating the Sequence Break Fusion hack. So we'll be using the new Metroid Fusion Open Randomizer (MFOR) to run a Randomizer tournament.
